Local History & Genealogy

Our organization has purchased high quality archival supplies to properly preserve and house items for two of Local History and Genealogy's most recent acquisitions, the Sun Herald and Chancey Hinman collections.

These two substantial collections contain thousands of photographs and items that span several decades, and provide rare glimpses of life along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Do Re Mi: Preschool Music and Movement

A recent contribution to our libraries was to assist the Margaret S. Sherry Memorial Library's youth services librarian by providing her with the upstart costs for their new musical enrichment program.

After receiving her request for funding, we were able to pay for two sets of egg shakers, two sets of bells, two sets of rhythm sticks, and a set of Boomwhackers for the program.

Friends of the Biloxi Libraries Book Sale

If any of the Biloxi Libraries are open, our book sales are up and running! There is a section at each of the Biloxi locations dedicated to our book sale. All proceeds go directly into the Biloxi libraries' needs, such as funding for new community programs, providing new computers for patron access, as well as new desktops for staff efficiency.
